I agree with willia3r. Like he said, high standards are okay as long as you do what’s necessary to put yourself into that same category. I.E staying fit, positive attitude, family oriented mentality and willingness to compromise and no feelings of entitlement.

The problem with these issues today is that it’s based on the fiancial status of BM and BW. I have noticed that most of you all are not talking about the economy and the coming depression. This is indeed serious.

Part 2. I noticed this on youtube and other interracial blogs and forums created by black women and white men. They seem to be exclusive in their new preferences but the youtube black men still say they still want to and would date a black women. I guess what im getting at is that many black women who do date interracially tend to be gone for good and seem to no longer care what state black men are in whether its good or bad.

Whether it does or does not favor black men really isnt a concern of many of the black women who change their standards or decide to date outside the race. It just seems to me that black men who interracially date usually date black women too and eventually end up with a black women but its the total opposite with black women. Even though the percent is small in comparison with black men, black women who choose to date out tend to only date out and end up with non black men.

There is nothing wrong with having high standards as long as you are willing to deal with the consequences of having them, be they good or bad. Also think about the fact that just as you demand a high standard of others, those same high standards may be applied to you.

i for one and willing to admit that my standards are high for a man. and that most black men don’t meet these standards. i’m not using this as a reason to justify why i’m starting to not even consider them as possible mates but would that be something bad?

Do yall want any other response from BW other than total and aboslute agreemant? I mean we have our own view on the stuation as well. Just because its not in total aggreement with yours doesnt make it any less valid. I sometimes feel like the whole BM/BW relationship is a lost cause cause no one is listening. BM are no better at listening to and regarding BW’s side than BW are at regarding BM’s. Yet many of you act like you have such full insight on us.

Well who was talking about rich? “accomplished” could refer to a blue collar man workingman as much it does someone from the business class. I listen to this guys vids occasionally and he seems to be talking about some “exclusive” set of black men who can only find their “equals” in the white race (hmm?). But nothing I”ve heard from most of those who make these claims supports the boasts of high accomplishment or even indicates even entry level success, like a basic education or job.

Most black woman bra they don’t even respect themselves. I have shown plenty of respect to sistahs in the past, opening doors, a simple hello, “you know how it is”, and most of them look at you like your crazy.

And you should jump ship, waiting around to be with a black woman dude is ETERNITY. Most of them only want you when your well off. Date outside your race man, if your trying to get in a relationship with a black female MOST of the time your wasting your time.

Any man who has something to offer the world (not just women) be he crime don or sucessful business man will be embraced by those who know his reputation. If you have nothing to offer but threats to date IR, because, you say, no one can see your “qualiities”, I’d say that’s probably because you don’t have the qualities you claim to own. smh

I definitly feel under-valued by black women

“Let them leave” sounds so dramatic. When you marry someone of a different color, your color doesn’t change, your family of origin doesn’t change. You’re not issued a lobotomy with the marriage license, so your outlook and experiences as a POC(person of color)/Afro-Whatever don’t change either.
